Georgia County Court Information and Location

Georgia County Court is a locally funded court without any jury trials. There are a total of four counties which have a Georgia County Court with twenty judges presiding over them. The cases handled by Georgia County Court are traffic and other civic rules violations, misdemeanors and preliminary hearings. The four county courts are in Clayton County, DeKalb County, Gwinnett County and Fulton County. Clayton County Court

 

Clayton County is both a circuit and county which falls under the 6th Judicial District. Under Clayton County there is a Superior Court, Probate Court, State Court, Magistrate Court, and Juvenile Court. The cases arising within the boundaries of this county come to the different sections of the court. You can get all information related to Clayton County at http://www.co.clayton.ga.us/courts.htm.

DeKalb County Court

DeKalb County has a Superior Court, State Court, Magistrate Court, Probate Court and Juvenile Court under its jurisdiction. It has an online judicial system so that you can search the details of your case taking place in any of the courtrooms of this particular Georgia County Court. You can download online forms for registration of your case from the site of Superior Court or go directly through http://web.co.dekalb.ga.us/courts/clerk/index.htm#.

You can reach the DeKalb County Courthouse at Suite # 1200, 556 N McDonough Street, Decatur, GA 30030 after getting security clearance from the DeKalb County Sheriff’s office. The business hours of both the Real Estate Division and Judicial Division are 8:30 am to 5 pm on all weekdays.

 

Gwinnett County Court

Under Gwinnett County Court there is a Superior, State, Magistrate, Probate, Juvenile and Recorder’s Court. It is a trial court with general jurisdiction. All civil, criminal, juvenile or domestic relations cases that arise within the limits of this county are brought to Gwinnett County Court. Fulton County Court

Fulton County Court includes Superior, Probate, Juvenile, State, and Municipal Courts. For each of them you have different contact numbers mentioned in the home page. Fulton County is located in the 5th Judicial District of Georgia. This is the only district to have one circuit.
