Area Code 952

The area code 952 covers the southwestern suburban areas of cities like Minneapolis-St. Paul, Bloomington and Wayzata. The area code was introduced in 2000 together with area code 763 meant to cover the northwestern suburbs of the state. Both these codes were assigned to areas that were originally served by area code 612. On the northern side of the areas bordered by area code 952, the areas are covered by the area code 763.  The north eastern border area is covered by area code 612. The communities and cities covered by area code 952 include Hopkins. Apple Valley, Prior Lake, Savage, Waconia, Belle Plaine, Prior Lake, Cologne, Wayzata, Long Lake, Spring Park and many more.

Area Code 763

The area code 763 serves the northwestern suburban areas of Minneapolis-St. Paul and also has within its purview the city of Maple Grove. The code was introduced in 2000 for a region that was originally served by area code 612. The northwestern and northern borders of the area code are served by the area code 320. Some of the communities and cities covered by area code 763 include Dayton, Albertville, Montrose, Blaine, Osseo, Plymouth, Big Lake, Delano and Spring Lake Park.

Area Code 320

The area code 320 serves large parts of the State of Minnesota. It was fourth in the line of area codes introduced for state in 1996. Cities that fall under this area code include Alexandria and St. Cloud. Area code 320 borders every other area code region in the state with the exception of area code 612. Communities and cities covered by area code 320 include Ortonville, Albany, Glenwood, Appleton, Lester Praine, Rockville, St. Joseph, Howard Lake and many more.

Area Code 651

The area code 651 serves the Saint Paul region of Minnesota and suburban areas of the Twin Cities. A section of the area code also extends to the region along the Mississippi River and serves the city of Red Wing. It’s the fifth area code that was created for the Minnesota in 1998. The communities and cities that fall under the area code 651 include Lindstorm, Afton, South St. Paul, Little Canada, Chester City, Stillwater, Woodbury, Scandia, and Chester City.

The area code 612 serves the city of Minneapolis in Minnesota and others surrounding areas such as Richfield, Fort Snelling and St. Anthony. As far as the land area covered by area code 612 is concerned, it is the smallest area code. Area code 612 covers a total of 19 counties that include 70 cities and a total of 417 exchanges.
