Mahoning County Court Information and Location

Mahoning County Court also acts as a Court of Common Pleas. Felonies as well as high valued civil cases come under the jurisdiction of the Mahoning Court. Petty traffic violations as well as smaller civil matters are handled by the Mahoning courts as well. All the judges of the Mahoning County Court are elected by means of a non-partisan election. Probate Court of Mahoning County

Domestic Relations Court

 

All matters related to marriage, legal separation and divorce are handled by the Domestic Relations Court. Complaints, counter claims as well as replies to queries are required to be filed in this section of the Mahoning County Court system. All divorce and annulment filings need to be accompanied by a fee of $250, while filing for a counter claim attracts a fee of $150.

Juvenile Court of Mahoning County

The Juvenile Court of Mahoning County aims to rehabilitate young delinquents and also helps in protecting the community. All criminal offenses including cases of misdemeanor, felony as well as alcohol and drug abuse cases are heard by the Juvenile Court of the county. Apart from detention and probation, the Juvenile Court deals with a number of programs aimed at prevention and treatment of the minor offender.
